Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid CPR-B
Must be 13+ or have completed Bronze Star

Teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water-rescue education:
judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows, carries, defence methods and releases in preparation for
challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 500m timed swim. Throughout the course participants will also learn the knowledge and practical skills needed for their Emergency First Aid with CPR-B qualification.

Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm July 8 – July 12
Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm August 6 – August 9

Members / Non-Members: $180.00 + HST

Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid CPR-C
Must have completed Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid CPR-B

Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced aquatic training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certifications. The Bronze Cross course includes a 600m timed swim. Throughout the course the participants will also learn the knowledge and practical skills needed for their Standard First Aid with CPR-C qualification.

Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm August 12 – August 16

Members / Non-Members: $230.00 + HST

 

National Lifeguard
Must be 16+ and have completed Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid CPR-C

National Lifeguard Standard is Canada’s professional lifeguard standard. National lifeguard training develops a strong understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment as well as a mature and responsible attitude towards the lifeguards’ role. National Lifeguard training emphasizes prevention and effective rescue response in emergencies including first aid training. Candidates develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills. Your Standard First Aid qualification must be from one of the following organizations to be deemed valid: Lifesaving Society, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Ski Patrol.

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm July 22 – July 26
Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm August 19 – August 23

Members / Non-Members: $325.00 + HST

National Lifeguard – Recertification
Must be 16+ and have completed National Lifeguard Certification

National Lifeguard Standard is Canada’s professional lifeguard standard. National lifeguard training develops a strong understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment as well as a mature and responsible attitude towards the lifeguards’ role. This recertification course is for those who have previously completed a National Lifeguard course and are in need of
recertification of this qualification.

Standard First Aid

Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including; legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries and other medical emergencies. This includes a CPR–C Certification.

Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm July 13, 14
Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm August 10, 11

Members / Non-Members: $109.00 + HST

Standard First Aid – Recertification

Holders of Standard First Aid certificates from other agencies may not recertify on a Lifesaving Society recertification course. They may recertify only with the original certifying agency. To swap agencies, you must complete a full course with the new agency.
