Camps & School Break Programs

The camp experience is hard to beat! Memories of special friends, learning new skills, and understanding more about ourselves and the natural world – that’s what it’s all about! YMCA Camps have been providing this opportunity to children for over a century. That’s a lot of laughter and a lot of special memories.

You can trust the YMCA to put the well-being of your child first. With personalized attention and emphasis on your child’s unique development, we welcome each child into a healthy, safe and stimulating environment. We choose our staff carefully from those with strong YMCA camping experience, from those with YMCA counselor training, and from the ranks of our year-round school-age care staff. We pay particular attention to special qualifications and related education, as well as personal values that reflect our YMCA’s mission. We strive for a vital blend of maturity and enthusiasm that will allow our staff to create a memorable and rewarding camp experience for all.

Our camps are accredited by the Ontario Camping Association.

Summer Day Camps

Our summer day camps offer something for everyone – games, sports, swimming, trips, arts and crafts, and imaginative activities. Specialty camps, leadership training camps, and the youth conditioning camp focus on a specialty, but incorporate traditional camp activities into the daily program. YMCA summer camps – building memories to last a lifetime!

P.A. Day Programs (5 - 12 years)

Children will enjoy creative, activity-filled days during our P.A. Day programs throughout the year.

*Extended hours are available from 7:30 am – 9:00 am

and from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm at no additional cost.

Winter/Spring 2010 P.A. Day Registration Form

 

Winter Adventure Camp (5 – 12 years)

This camp offers a variety of fun-filled camp days for children during the winter break. Children will participate in various planned activities, which include swimming, skating, bowling, active and quiet games, outdoor games, crafts, and much more!
*Extended hours are available from 7:30 am – 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm at no additional cost.

Winter Adventure Camp information will be available in November 2010.

March Break Camp (5 – 12 years)

Our March Break-Away Camp will feature six days of activities, including bowling, swimming, indoor and outdoor games, crafts, and much more!

*Extended hours are available from 7:30 am – 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm at no additional cost.

March Break Camp information will be available in February 2011.

RKY Camp

For over 75 years, RKY Camp has encouraged young people to grow in mind, body, and spirit. Campers, from all backgrounds, are placed in cabin groups according to age. They learn a great deal about sharing, cooperation, teamwork and responsibility. This residential camp, located in Parham, ON, is accredited by the Ontario Camping Association. The camp offers year-round opportunities for children and youth, spring, fall and winter family camps, leadership programs for teens, outdoor education programs for school groups, and rustic facilities for retreats, conferences and reunions.
